Yes.  There is a book scanner available that can scan books and documents, is designed to handle multiple page loads, and has a high-resolution camera for excellent image and text captures. This device is available near the first floor reference desk.  There are quick start instructions available on how to use the device, but the nearby librarian is always willing to help if needed.

There is also one lower-resolution document scanner available for use, in the computer commons area. The scanner was once originally intended to be used solely by students who use and need ADA-compliant equipment. However, while it can still be used for these purposes, as of December 2016, the scanner can now be used for general scanning purposes by everyone. Since it is attached to a computer workstation, however, it can only be used if the computer workstation it is attached to is available--which like all computers, is on a first-come, first serve basis.
